Just a note about entrapment

Flying home from Dallas , a quiet lady sat next to me on a long flight to Hawaii.
We didn’t talk very much, but she told me she lived down around on a small Island in the South Pacific and had been in the States to do some work for her Church. She said she was heading to Hawaii to visit Family. She looked uneasy when I asked what Church and didn’t answer me, but mumbled something to herself, like she was offended I asked. So whatever, I watched 3 movies and ate the box meal they gave us, it was a treat. Later she tried to share hers with me, but I still had food and thought that was odd.
. So there is a form we have to complete, coming into the State that asks how long your stay, where you are lodging,( at a hotel, with family, etc) .and if you are bringing in any items that you shouldn’t. All of a sudden, she wants me to list her at my address, as staying with me. I told her, “no” and pointed out it says on the form that it illegal to lie on it, there is a fine for lying and I already said only one person on the flight is staying at my address. She pleaded with me and I had to tell her two more times; “No”. I really wondered
About her intentions. So later, cause I’m slow.... sometimes....that if I had thought about being kind and accommodating, I could have really been nailed, just that easy, for something, someone who just entered my life,
asked me to do. It is that easy.....like putting assets into Trump’s Campaign, just saying.
Some Communities send their homeless to Hawaii. It strains our system
Resources, because many have mental health issues and live off our
Safety net system for our Communities. We have to cleanup their trash
Camps on the sides of the road, and they sleep in our parks and on some of our beaches. Really sad. We had 700 homes burn during the increased Volcanic and earthquake activity, a year ago. So a lot of our resources really needed to go to these Island Families. It stressed our FoodBanks and safety nets. That is the only reason I would be leary of someone who
Seemed not to be coming from her “church”.
