What happens when someone commits suicide?

You die.

I don't think we can ever really know the answer to that question. I would guess it's probably pretty grim in most cases.

But we don't know the heart of that person, nor do we ever really know what exactly happened. In the end it's not for us to decide. Sometimes things are no so simple.

Best never to do it just to be safe.

Their entire family suffer and are set back in ways that you could not imagine.

I tend to think there is the equivalent of therapy on the other side. But as with any therapy, I think things vary by the person. I've read things from people who claim to have spoken to people on the other side who committed suicide, and the stories vary. I don't personally think you automatically go to hell -- well, in a sense, you put yourself in hell, since suicide seems to be about cutting yourself off from the abundance of creation. So I think perhaps one gets the opportunity to work through what caused that to happen.

As for reincarnation, I think everyone has multiple experiences that are what we consider "lives".

Or they become paraplegic and live for 30 more years

If you eat lots of bananas and have lots of tryptophan which makes serotonin you can change your brain chemistry and then life is awesome for no reason at all which is the best reason to feel good now
