SJW college Oberlin College LOSES AGAIN!! $33 Million in Punitive Damages!! (on top of 11 Million in actual damages - for SJW behavior)

Not sure what this was about but if it's about the college admission cheating I say good job! Too many elites gaming the system.

For those who don't recall the underlying issue:

The Gibson's own a local bakery in town and a Black Student from Oberlin came in and shoplifted some wine.

One of the younger Gibson's chased him down outside, TWO of his Black Female Accomplices (also students at Oberlin), who assisted in the shoplifting, then attacked the younger Gibson on the street as the perp tried to flee, but alas the Police got there and got their identities.

The COLLEGE then almost immediately (that night) organized not just a boycott of the Gibson Bakery, along with street protests, but led a smear campaign against them accusing them of being RACIST for not allow a Black to shoplift from their store!! ... AND accused them of being long time racists. In addition the college moved to try to bankrupt the business and the family.

The three Black Shoplifters later pled guilty to the shoplifting ... but alas the college would NOT give it up and kept trying to bankrupt the business and the Gibsons.

(OH ... and since it costs $60,000/yr+- to go to Oberlin I think it is safe to assume that all three were getting a very expensive education for virtually FREE!! ... but that wasn't good enough for them, so they had to out and SHOPLIFT from a small business)

It appears that Oberlin's main Insurance Company is going to DENY COVERAGE to Oberlin College ... and force Oberlin to pay any damages themselves and then file suit against the Insurance Company and TRY to get reimbursement (MOST of the counts and awards against Oberlin appear to NOT be covered by their insurance policy on excess coverage - amounts over $1 million?? - so MOST of the loss looks like is is going to come directly out of Oberlin's pockets anyway)

Whats going on is a black kid robbed a bakery and stole some wine then he claimed he didn't do nothing wrong to the police and that he was chased and beaten by an angry white store employee. However later down the road the kid admitted to the crime and was charged accordingly. The college at the time had been pushing out a lot of crap that only black lives matter and other racial crap and they took it upon themselves to fight the injustice so they protested gibson and they even removed them from the college food menu became they claimed they were racist and it was right thing to do.

I love how the left is framing this as a free speech issue. Free speech and the left go together like oil and water.

This is what was going on in the area around the same time and also what lead up to the outrage mob at college.

The bigger problem is, why do parents keep sending their kids to these crap factories and allowing their own children to be programmed into complete garbage? And go into massive debt by doing so?

I read about that yesterday. I think $33 million is way over-the-top. The college is responsible for it, but it is innocent kids that will eventually be paying. That's not to say I don't disagree with the ruling. What the college did to the family and their business was egregious, and college officials are still refusing to admit any culpability, saying the family is racist and the jury wrong in its decision. The business lost customers and had their name smeared. They deserve something. But why not $5 million? That is more than the business would have made in years maybe decades. Why $33 million???
