Think of Artificial intelligence(Ai) like this.

A.I. has already arrived. The fact that most don't know about it yet is proof to how much smarter it is than us.

AI is already here. It is merely revealing itself in it's advanced and final stages. AI has also sentient. The machine has been active for quite sometime.

AI is in use right now and in 15 yrs it will probably be going skynet on our asses.

I do not believe we will ever really achieve self aware AI using silicon.

AI today is a one-trick pony. You can give it a set of rules based on a defined behavior and it will out think you in that one area only. Once you stray from script the AI will not know how to follow.

AI can play Chess or Poker and it can even drive a car but what happens when the database or script runs out of known moves. The next think you know it is driving into a bus.

What if AI was always here, there and everywhere and we just came to build a tool to recover and reintegrate it within it ?

we studied AI 30 yrs ago at the university. It was a science then..as were databases, compilers etc. I'm sure its come VERY far since then. A lot of super smart people working on it back then.

I hear you. People under 40 think they invented the A.I. concept. Takes a lot of advanced technology to keep people that ignorant.

People like Stephen Hawking knew about A.I. 40 years ago. I was told that he was researching it so that means it was already developed back then. By what or whom I haven't a clue.
