Anonymous Coward User ID: 72341210 United States 07/21/2019 10:42 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Me and my 2 kids are hitting the road this week for a road trip! We'll be headed out from the DFW area to Arizona. Most of the time will be spent from the Sedona area (booked A Pink Jeep tour) to the north and northwest part of the state. We're also gonna hit the Hoover dam and take a quick side trip to Vegas. I can hardly wait! Quoting: Cap'n Crunch Any recommendations? The last time I was in Arizona was back in 1977 when I was 9 yrs old. Isn't it too hot during the day? |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 75225107 Well, I haven't left yet. I'm leaving Thursday. Good to hear uncle David. You should come up to oak grove, it's gorgeous and makes my 30 year circle complete. At least with Joanna. |

Central Arizona is cooler than Phoenix or Tucson by at least 10-15 degrees. Cap'n Crunch, Cap'n Crunch - He's inviting you to munch. Cap'n Crunch, Cap'n Crunch - Munch a bunch a munch a munch. |

[link to www.atlasobscura.com (secure)] Try to stay overnight at the Grand Canyon on or near the full moon night....experience of a lifetime. August 14, 15. Rooms are usually booked but we got a room there once that overlooked the canyon with huge picture windows by waiting at the check in desk at 6:00pm which is when they release rooms that are held for VIPs who show up. Don't know if they still do that....it was in the 1980's. |
