I would have a little fun with this question.

I would say.....

“The question should not be ‘do I own a gun’ but should be ‘would I ever feel compelled to use it disproportionately in a situation when I have access to it & whom is the adjudicator deciding the proportionality of the use in that given situation’”.

Doc couldn’t wait to see the back of me.

I would have told them why their services were not welcome as well. At my clinic that is not asked

Ummmmm my patients carry in my office, and we all chat about guns all day long. Get a better doctor. Hell I have a boot knife on and another knife taped under my exam table not to mention several staff members carry pocket pistols, we dont fuck around.

They never ask if you drive a sports car, own a hammer, have a knife in your pocket, etc.

Shit I have a line of service men and state/county law enforcement in my office all day we all have guns them us they we. Sorry you all have dildo doctors.

At BC border they asked if I had guns at home in Vegas. I lied.

I tried that years ago and the dumb cluck said it was policy and so I made up an ss number, then paid cash.

I used to have a couple, but I was going target-practicing once, and I laid them on top of the car while I put in a small picnic lunch and something to drink. Forgot the weapons, got in the car, and pulled out of my driveway. A few miles up the road I suddenly remembered what a stupid thing I'd done. Went back and looked and looked and looked, but either they flew a long way off the roof or somebody coming along saw it happen and thought it was their birthday. Darned shame! Now I can't really afford to replace them, so I am out of luck.

People, be careful not to make foolish mistakes when in a hurry - it can be a permanent loss!

easy to do if its just you with no kids involved

if you have kids ... if you're worried about this it might be best just to not let them know you have a gun

in my case I don't have kids but I haven't told my family I have a gun ... I've had one for about 15 years now and nobody in my family knows at all
