Cattle producers are BAILING OUT of their cattle so there is a glut on the market so cost is down...

They are bailing because their wont be enough feed for winter..

Or hadn't you read that some beef and pig producers are feeding pastry rolls and candies again like before when the drought hit....

The methanol plants are shuttering their doors because their wont be enough corn and it has to go for feed....

They are controlling the prices for now....

Come fall this planet is in for a reality check....

our food bill is higher and higher i swear...

We never eat out anymore...to expensive...

But just a year ago we spent around 500 a month for food ..

Last time we went spent nearly 650 last month...so ya ..food has gone up ...

We only shop at Costco or samsclub...In bulk..For a family of 4~

We do have have month worth of food supply..

And working on getting years emergency food supply soon..

She and one other have begun a thing where they're fear mongering food doom and starvation. They're doing it right on this thread, where people are posting recent food prices.

There're being critical of posts that they say try to "normalize" the current food situation, because it counters their dishonest, doom agenda.

Not necessarily just democrats. Those who are suffering from "normalcy bias" will suffer the most, as they are making no preparations for what we KNOW is coming, yet they persist, too afraid to acknowledge the obvious.

So they trying to wake up some people who have no clue of what may happen and how our system can so easily stop.
My God I am a plant electrical supervisor and my knowledge of our systems is vast and with just a single sever going down I have no control of anything on a site with thousands of people and dozens of building, That can not be manually reset or over ridden without great difficulty and weeks of work.

Most people think water just comes from the tap, That the power will be on shortly.
With every storm my brother's in the IBEW risk or lives to keep it going. Without a thank you from anyone.

Some people have no clue, So the more they hear it just maybe they will do something about it!
If they are not prepared then they become our problem!

My objection is reporting phony food shortages. I agree that potentially there could be supply disruptions.

But to constantly be crying "wolf" is bullshit.

I am more worried about the devaluing of our dollar!
And how it is hidden in smaller portions, and fillers used instead of food.
A lot of my Long term food storage has doubled in price to replace over the years.
As I will be like 80 when it has reached its shelf life I wonder what it will be worth then? Cost to replace! I am always adding some new too good to pass on deals. My cold storage rm is stacked to the ceiling.

You have much more food than I do. The oldest I have is about 8 months old, and I am constantly eating and replacing stored food.

I only plan to have about a month's worth. Any supply disruption more than a month, and it's end game.

it is a good way to get your basics foods, They might let work off some of the costs.
I have 1-2% of my income budgeted i spend on food storage, garden, animals ect.
