I promised to write a specific thread, so I wanted to lay down some groundwork again before getting too far ahead...

Here's the little story about the Crowley name tag image, as it paid off quite handsomely a few years ago.

We were out with a large group of friends one evening, and so we happened upon an Irish Pub and decided to make that our evening watering hole. (The address was even a "93" on Main street; Crowleyites may recognize the significance of the number 93.)

Shortly after we opened our tab, the place started to fill up incredibly fast. It was somewhat obvious that there was some sort of reunion taking place. Everyone was outfitting themselves with name tags.

At this point, we were a few hours into the imbibing of spirits. Everyone was good and sloshed, even the reunion parties. We noticed some markers and a few sheets of name tags on an unattended table; I casually nabbed a few materials under the cover of darkness.

At first, it was all just a silly joke. We wrote funny names on some of them and joked around. I wrote "Aleister C." on mine. I quite bluntly asked our table if anyone wanted to see any "Magick..." (Discussions of Crowley and his books were one topic that night.)

When we decided to leave, we went to close the tab and pay for everything, not bothering to split anything on the spot. When we did this, the bartender looked at us like we were crazy. "It's all taken care of," he said. "Are you sure?" Again, we attempted to pay, even questioning the bartender's response.

Our tab was probably at least $850, possibly even more. We tried to pay yet again, but he wasn't having any of it. We all walked out *quite happy* that evening...

I will state openly that I've attended the Gnostic Mass a number of times. I was largely an outsider, though I was approached with offers to teach and instruct Enochian Magick. I never obliged. Instead, I retreated and stayed on a rather solo path.

(Enochian Magick is briefly mentioned toward the end of part 1 of the video. Robert Anton Wilson also speaks of this around 30-31 minutes into his interview. It's quite interesting.)

This show didn't mention too much about Crowley's first really big piece of work, his entire life would be completely changed by it.

First, I have to ask a serious question. If something really *big* spiritually or supernaturally (whatever your disposition) were to happen to you, would it be more "believable" to you if it came through someone else (or through more "external" means?)
