Tarantino is one of the biggest plagiarist hack directors I've ever seen. So utterly overrated. His dialogue can be somewhat refreshing (although that's probably lifted to) but his movies are pretty boring.

values in h-wood films are questionable at best i assure you but in the QT films i really dont see any PC nonsense.

i see a love of pop culture and a love of cinematic confrontation (violent or conversational or cultural)

if you want a director who tried to push the bottom lower look into rob zombie, devils rejects wjile arguably a very well made film (shots, performances, soundtracks all OK).. that film directly pushes the violent values of predatory murderous satanism, it "worked" because it was billed as "horror" but it is easy to see through.

QT doesnt work like that, hes not pushing us anywhere, hes holding up a mirror to our faces, and trying to have a little fun

the rathskeller shootout from basterds is a confrontation that that uses all three, conversation (the game), culture (the finger mistake), and then violence.
