Also conceivable Vikings may have had old Roman coins when they came to America.
 Quoting: Seagull Lake

Why do all of you refuse to believe the Romans made it to the America’s? Your brains cannot handle the realization that you were fed lies your whole life by the establishment?
 Quoting: Off Switch

Rome ended in 476 AD.

So you're suggesting that shiploads of Romans sailed to the Americas in 400 AD? For what? They had everything in Rome, what were they seeking?
 Quoting: MissCleo

Trade...if King Tut had cocaine and tobacco...who knows what they were trading for. Maybe they liked tequila....what is the world built on today? God...Gold, Oil and Drugs.

True. Pineapples made it to Europe way before 1500.

Like Chip said, humans have been circling the planet for a long time. Continents were in different position also. Lots of factors. Not sure where all this is going. Wanna arm wrestle?

Maine to Massachusetts the Indians were not nice..they would have went so far as to challenge the Romans at war.

The situation would have been this way..you can visit, but when are you going to leave?

And if they wear out their welcome the east coast Indians would have provoked a fight.

Good luck with this. Fake news has already taken over by mind fucking the lemmings with horseshit about white men coming over using AR-15's, Rocket Propelled Grenades and bad words to kill native American women and children in the 1500's.

Yes 350-1800 was human migration period.

Not half as big as the one we have today with hundreds of millions of immigrants.

There was a sunken Roman ship found off the coast of Brazil. The Vikings didn’t sail it there...

Don't be a sexist bruh.

damned
 Quoting: Chip

Still doesn't prove Romans were on that ship. Nor does a coin in Maine. Ship could have been in tow. Is there more to the story?

Hey Lance!

I knew this topic sounded familiar and I remembered reading about these coins in one of my metal detecting Forums.

[link to metaldetectingforum.com (secure)]

A lot of good info at that link, but the bottom line is that it really isn’t hard evidence. For example I found a Canadian penny on a school playground from the 1960s. And while it is possible that some Canadian dropped it there in the 1960s the most likely explanation is that some child brought it to school and lost it more recently.

A conclusion based on the azzumption that the Hebrews would have not built ships - which actually was done during Solomon's reign.

And who's to say there weren't a few Hebrews on various Pheonician ships at any point in time?

I'm not a mormon for sure - but did you know that there are ancient ruins in Israel attributed to the Tribe of Lehi?

Several videos of the site on Y'tube

[link to www.youtube.com (secure)]

It doesn't make the mormon story true...but it can give pause to ponder the possibilities.
 Quoting: TheLordsServant

what is the tribe of lehi is it the lost tribe?
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 75985280

Lehi was a town / province in Judah mentioned in Judges. They wouldn't have been one of the 12 main tribes.

Unless you count them as the "priestly decendants" of Aaron - but are not mentioned in the Torah specifically as "Lehi".

Yes, the continents have changed and whole lands have sunken and risen. Look at some old maps and you'll see plenty of ways to migrate across continents.
