Even when taken at the recommended doses, acetaminophen can still cause major problems; however, it’s a very profitable drug – which seems to be fueling the lack of emphasis on these risks. < 50% |

Druggies tend to take way more than one pill per sitting, many sittings per day. Whenever I’m given those medications after a surgery or something I always do a cold water filtration on the pills to get rid of the Tylenol and instead take ibuprofen or alieve with it. |

My brother died from liver failure due to taking Tylenol. The sad part of it was he was in a lot of pain from rodeo injuries, and wouldn't take prescription pain meds. His DOCTOR told him to take Tylenol, but gave him no warnings about the drug's toxicity. Many doctors are incompetent and stupid, but the drug companies are CRIMINAL in their hiding this kind of information. Remember many years ago, when Tylenol was pulled from the shelves after several bottles were poisoned? Turns out the pills were as toxic as the rat poison used in the tampering. "Peace in our time? All it took was everybody about to die." “The way I see it, there’s only three kinds of people in this world. Bad ones, ones you follow, and ones you need to protect.” - Amos Burton |

Quoting: ROOSTRE I don't know about that but I do know for a fact that it helps contribute to tinnitus and hearing loss. both statements above are true imo I have read research on the drugs affect upon empathy which makes sense it dulls "feeling(s)" |

"ibuprofen" is the dangerous one and the one this thread should be about. Ibuprofen is Indeed deadly! Acetaminophen is not, and is safe to take (as directed). |

The ibuprofen was good in high doses for toothache. The Tylenol with codeine is effective, but saved for real emergencies. I haven't taken any pain meds at all for at least a month as I believe they all have side effects. |

I don't see how it would cause liver failure, I just see a campaign to destroy one of the best medications that is over the counter. You need to remember that cancer is 100% curable, but the cancer fatality rate is about 97%, so try and find some credibility from the source before condemning something that actually will help you. |
