You would have that certainly Think of the tsunami's footage, its all personal stuff and lots of it Everything about the Amazon fires is documentary-form mainstream channels rolling a clear agenda It would be telling if in a couple of hours that kind of material starts being uploaded, because of attention brought to a possible flaw in presentation Last Edited by Gorgol on 08/29/2019 07:55 AM Gorgol -No Jab, No Jitter |

As of August 16, 2019, an analysis of NASA satellite data indicated that total fire activity across the Amazon basin this year has been close to the average in comparison to the past 15 years. So basically it confirms more fires in the wild forest |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 77206396 United States 08/29/2019 08:02 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | And this estimate of 20 trillion is the lowest possible. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 77961158 Environmental laws in Brazil are the strictest in the world. You want to know something? For me, they could clear all the Amazon and exploit the riches of this country. The other countries have only sent a few millions (To stop us from exploiting the 20 trillion) while we have 20 million unemployed, a people living in poverty and all this wealth to be exploited. This environmental neurosis exists to keep countries like Brazil underdeveloped to be a commodity supplier to developed countries that manufacture products and then resell, including Brazil. Another problem here is power generation with this much more expensive wind and solar bullshit. If I were the president I would build nuclear power plants that are 100 times cheaper (and by the way much cleaner, despite what environmentalists say) because electric power is fundamental to the economic development of a country. Most energy in a developed country is consumed by industry. It would also take advantage of this nuclear program to start building atomic bombs so that no one else would dare to talk about internationalization of the Amazon. Y’all fuck up the amazon, I’m gonna install a dictator down there to give you maggots helicopter rides. |

[link to public.tableau.com (secure)] 1 billion in 2015 600 millions in 2016 etc You receive tons of money already. Your government is utterly corrupt. Anyone dealing with Brazil knows this. Our company has to pay Brazilan officials to do anything. If you want more money, fix the corruption problem in your fucking country |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 72714610 United States 08/29/2019 08:33 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Early on in the "Amazon fire TV frenzy", MSNBC used photos from the California fires, photos from 2012 fires... I recognized the California photo... The climate hypers are accused of setting the fires. Also, fires in the Amazon are a normal occurrence, then rainy season sets in and puts out the fires. Also forest restoration occurs as it helps where timber is being cut and has been for decades which NO climate hypers complain... We ALL ride this ship and there is always mutiny aboard. Stupid is stupid, shit stirrers are shit stirrers. This too will pass. Mother Earth is preparing for Her next Earth Age. Some will live into eternal infinity on Earth in peace, not one speck of evil darkness, and then there are some who won't. Those who don't live into eternal infinity, go into oblivion as to have never existed at all. |

Quoting: RomanianGuy Not that there are no fires at all in Brazil. That Fire Map is probably some website or app that's showing bs info. They don't even zoom in on the map, this is stupid. I linked the map, you can easily zoom in and realize the fires are miles away from each others, while they only show the zoomed out one where you can't distinguish anything They are stupid [link to firms.modaps.eosdis.nasa.gov (secure)] |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 77354214 United States 08/29/2019 08:51 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | all i keep seeing in link after link is the NUMBER of fires in amazon is higher than usual - NOTHING about how much area is on fire - which seems to be what the main issue would be what constitutes a “fire” ? a campfire or one tree burning? there is no quantifiable definition of what constitutes a fire that there supposedly are so many of prove me wrong |
