"Love", is a stating of being between different proverbial hearts/souls. It is in part chemical, and also in part, I highly suspect, electromagnetic, or something similar, as both the heart and brain produce mini magneto-spheres.

Coupled with the way memory is stored in not only the brain, but nerves/whatever, and the fact that the human brain operates in 11+ dimensions, it opens the door for many interesting possibilities.

You would have to be "beyond vain classical Narcissus narcissist", to believe it to be possible to "love one self so much" to produce inner light in that manner.
