Quoting: Festus Hoggbottom It like interrupts the flow of the conversation so you start focusing on the mispronunciation. I think there has to be a brief suspension of reality moment for conversation to “play like a movie” to really feel and relate to the other person.. like you are both momentarily telepathic with the assistance of words and when these little fnords we will call them slip in they deviate one end of the receiving party so both people feel suddenly isolated.. on my case apparently one more than the other. |

Anonymous Coward (OP) User ID: 2590977 United States 09/08/2019 12:35 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Depends on where you're from. I say "onvelope". I'm from the NE US. My family also says "ahnt" for aunt. This is not the tomate - o verus to mat-o issue... it's like the way that multiple words flow together. like someone saying he has baby acne versus saying that baby has baby acknee.. can you hear that difference? It's like a short terse expression versus like this waterfall expression that just seems to take forever to get out for some reason. |
