Airlines are keeping them in hangar for spares in case there's any occurrence, wheel carriages are the most valuable spares on A380s. Emirates have a few out already. They will have them replaced with the new coming birds out of the production line by 2021. These will be the final A380s to be built. Airbus will keep providing spares for clients they say for the life cycle of the purchased aircraft. That remains to be seen and I am betting on inflated prices. I came. I saw. I Concorde. Oil is created by ancient algae pools that are cracked under pressure and heat.this extracts the oil from the algae. Ive already done the usgs report.we have until 2035,china has until 2025. Usa will be 99% dry by 2050. China will br 99% dry by 2035. Wishful thinking aint gonna fill the gas tank and elon knows this. |

The test is meant to push the plane beyond its limits. Engineers had the plane pressurized and on the ground. They loaded it up well beyond capacity and bent its wings in an extreme manner, in a way almost certain to never happen in the real world. As the ground test was underway and as engineers and FAA inspectors watched, a door blew off the plane. -50% [link to komonews.com (secure)] I wouldn't always trust journos on aviation related topics. Anonymous Coward User ID: 77556714 United States 09/08/2019 02:47 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Either a manufacturing of the parts problem ... or a more basic problem with the engineering of the load factors a carbon fiber part can withstand problem. Either way BAD NEW for Boeing. The door should NOT have blown out even if the plane was over pressurized, the over pressurization would still have been within the design limits of the parts and airframe. If it is BAD PARTS ... what about all the other carbon fiber parts of the plane? If it is BAD ENGINEERING ... what about the entire rest of the plane? At a minimum this is going to delay certification by at least a year, and if they can't be sure they isolated the problem to just that part/structure and it could NEVER crop up in another part of the plane ... well re-engineering large sections of the plane, or totally changing the parts manufacturing process, may be required which could delay the plane's certification for 3 to 5 years. |

You already tried that one, like 40 years ago. When you look at the amount invested to return money and energy wise peak oil already happened. Hell if it wasn't for ripping off investors and going bankrupt on debt the US oil companies would have called it quits years ago. That is just total fucking bullshit. We have so much cheap and easy oil and gas it is incalculable. I have oil wells in North Dakota that were put in place 12 years ago and are still going strong. Each of these oil wells can be refracked in different directions at the level they are now and in 30-50 years they can drop another few thousand feet down and do it all over again. They (Enron oil and gas) recovered the entire installation cost in less than a year. Each installation can handle several wells - but all seven of ours only have one well hooked up to them so far. Some day, when they can find a way to transport more oil south or east - they will add more wells. Have a nice day = GFY. GFY = Go Fuck Yourself. If this offends you then have a nice day. |

Quoting: Concorde Warrior F-BVFA Door blows out during ground test on Boeing 777X jet Boeing’s new widebody jet, the 777X, suffered a setback Thursday afternoon during a high-pressure stress test on the ground when one of the airplane’s cargo doors exploded outward. One 777X employee working in a nearby bay at Boeing’s Everett plant said he heard “a loud boom and the ground shook.” The accident happened to what’s called the “static test airplane,” one of the two airplanes in any new jet program that are built for ground testing only and will never fly. It was during the final test that must be passed as part of the airplane’s certification by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). The failure of the door will require careful analysis to find out why it happened, and it may mean Boeing will have to replace the door and repeat the test. -50% [link to www.seattletimes.com (secure)] Stress testing and pressure testing. FOR THOSE KICK ASS SNARKY REMARKS BY SMARTIE ASSHOLES My comment: Add to this affirmative action +Apu, and if they did not learn from the 737 MAX, Boeing will likely go bye bye. This type of failure does not happen when the design is done right. It is safe to say that if this happened, there is more wrong with this airframe than door problems. What's going to happen when it hits turbulence and all the passengers drink coffee off the ceiling, and then the carpet for 500 miles straight? The old planes could handle that and arrive totally unscathed, with injured passengers. If a blowout happened while it was just parked, regardless of conditions because being parked is IDEAL CONDITIONS, - if, despite being pushed to it's design max it blows out while parked, that spells doom, how reliable will it be after "coffee on the ceiling"? That's something Apu never thought of. W W W . J I M S T O N E . I S |
