It's been 2 months already. It's gaining steam, not slowing down.
 Quoting: Person445

Fuck em, OP. They shut the dialogue down, not you. And plus, ultimately you may feel bad about using that word, but if you were calling a spade a spade and meant what you said, then hold your head high and ask yourself if those SJW friends of yours were ever really your friends at all.
If you feel threatened, but a pistol and get a license to carry. If you can’t do that, carry a good pocket knife, at the very least. Those people don’t care about anyone who isn’t useful to them, and I’m sure you have already seen how fast people you had no issues with could up and shun you. Just realize you got kicked out of fantasy land, and now you’re back to reality. It all feels like crashing down until you realize that their whole world was nothing more than a mindless circle jerk popularity contest with no prizes. A happiness pyramid scheme of sorts. You may very well look back on this as a blessing in disguise one day. Best o luck.

Dude...sorry but your fucked...words break bones nowadays..its pathetic.
 Quoting: thedono369

Words are powerful and I can't tell you how much I understand this.

Things are changing. When I was younger, something like this would have been seen as repulsive, but ultimately forgettable.

I don't see it as more than a "I'm really sorry man, I apologize" - "Accepted" ~ 5 minute aftermath.
 Quoting: Person445

Sadly there are a lot of people who WANT to be "victims" either in reality or, failing that, vicariously.

You know you were wrong, you took the post down. Walk with your head held high and don't give off any "signal" that suggests they have a point. Tough, to be sure, but hey you can handle yourself here, those maggots should be a piece of cake.
 Quoting: Larry D. Croc

I received a msg from a woman who felt the only thing I could do to stop the outrage was to post an apology video. Considering I have a son and myself to take care of, I felt this would put me at greater risk and only worsen the situation.
 Quoting: Person445

I agree, there's no need to give the asshats whatever number of "pounds of flesh" they demand. Fuck 'em. Just be quiet and go about your business.

You don’t even have to do anything for the psychos to target you. Make sure you look different than the picture of you that is being shared. It doesn’t take much to look different, weird sunglasses, hat, whatever. You shouldn’t have deactivated you account because now there’s “blood in the water” and the sharks are frenzied. Well what’s done is done and now just stay safe.

So, while I'm not proud of this, this is what happened.

(while drunk) I got into a petty squabble about how much money earned per year is a decent amount to live on. This guy was bragging he made $4000/month. I personally didn't think that was worth the post, but regardless it got a lot of attention on his page.

We got into a disagreement and it devolved into name-calling. I ultimately called him a ni**er. I regretted it and deleted the post 5 hours later.

This man had screenshotted the interaction and subsequently posted it to his Facebook page. At this time, it has over 300 shares and 10,000 views.

It's going viral.

I have received numerous death threats, messages of disgust, etc.

I had to deactivate my account.

While I'm fully-aware of my actions and understand I went way over the line. Is name-calling a reason to destroy a person's life?

Not having Facebook is not the issue, it's a matter of being able to show my face in the city.

The group of people its being shared with are ruthless SJWs.

I live in Vancouver, BC. A highly liberal area.
 Quoting: Person445

Dont worry about it. Just delete facebook and never return. Life gets much better after that

Why do you live in Vancouver? Making an assumption here, but get over the fact that winter exists - move East 1, 2, or 3 provinces and you'll be better off socially and financially. Unless your family is wealthy, you'll never own a decent property in Vancouver. The key reason to move, however is that BC has, more than any other province, abandoned God and is now persecuting those that are God fearing. I'll be moving at some point too.

The action being waged against you is very dangerous and it is called : *Stochastic Terrorism: the public demonization of person or group resulting in the incitement of a violent act, which is statistically probable but whose specifics cannot be predicted:The lone-wolf attack was apparently influenced by the rhetoric of stochastic terrorism.

Stochastic terrorism is the use of mass communications (radio, tv, and internet) to stir up random lone wolves to carry out violent acts of domestic terrorism that are statistically predictable but individually unpredictable.

You are now officially a white supremacist Nazi. Welcome borther.

Take it as a learning experience and a chance to shed the shell of your previous life.

Only a couple things to do now:

1) Get the fuck off Facebook
2) Own it
3) Never apologize or attempt justify yourself. It will never be enough and you will be eaten alive
4) Surround yourself with like-minded people
5) Never engage in political conversation or debate with anyone not verified like-minded

We're living in post-truth times. If anyone tries to come at you you have to play the game.

You have to say you're transitioning and your hormones are all over the place. You just got out of a relationship with your gay black lover.

You will survive, learn, and you will be stronger for this.

I have to say don't ever post shit on facebook or any other shit social media site that you might regret later.

Trust me the assholes in charge are recording everything and making lists on who needs to be taken out or reeducated in a camp.

And if that doesn't happen then I can tell you that jobs are starting to look through peoples facebook profiles in order to get a job and trust me they won't hire you if you offend them in any way.

Re: I wrote a racist reply on Facebook and my life changed
I live on the prairies and until a few years ago, in my location, there weren't any immigrants from Africa.
Fast forward and today a lot of Africans are immigrating for different reasons.

I have never met such a racist group of people as the Africans. It doesn't matter what country their from either.

Oh wait, and all Africans are racist to Nigerians!
A Kenyan woman told a woman from Ghana that her shoes looked Nigerian and they explained that Africans don't like Nigerians, which is where the N word originated as a slam.

I've heard African men and women claim that issues in the work place are because of racism towards blacks. I say, no, it's because you did ____ and it has nothing to do with your color or country of origin.

I've heard both black men and women Africans slam whites and I've told them that if I made that comment against a black you'd call me racist and I'd run the risk of serious harrassment and fall out.

I'm sure there are a few decent non-racist Africans but I haven't met them.

They play by a double-standard.
Now I call them on it every time I see it.

What you did was use a verbal weapon, not so much as you being anything only a drunk idiot which I sure you know now.

You knew the word would hit him or her, the other guy used it back to hit you even harder. It is a weapon used to hurt, and you used it because you were mad, not because of his skin color, he hit you for using the weapon and you put yourself in that position.

My advice is go back sober an and tell him it was not about his race or color it was a weapon at the time, and you were drunk.

Except for true racist, this work is not important, using it as a weapon when you are out of other verbal weapon is not smart and it was not something to do and I am sure you are totally a shame to have used some thing that in as a weapon.

I don't think it hurt the guy he just used that same question and beat you over the head with, so he took your own weapon.

My advice, sober, right a Big long apology and tell him the truth it was a handy weapon, and he turned that same weapon you gave him and won.

Think what you did long and hard, be sure never to do this again. Also by apologizing it of from your side, and it up to him to except or reject it. It on his head to not except a true apology, don't do it again. Money is never worth fighting about, I do mean this from the bottom of my heart.

I hope you do as I say, if you mean it, it a way to clear your sins against this man, if he rejects it is one him. You can just go on.
Sorry I got a headache

OP: It's unfortunate what you did but the key question is this..

Do these people know your name & if so, is it easy to track down your home address? If so, I'd say take extreme precautions. You mentioned you have your boy to protect, so maybe consider moving. Assume the worst at all times. 2-3 years ago, I'd have scoffed at anyone suggesting what I'm writing here, but times are changing. Leftists are violent & sneaky as hell, & it seems there's no longer much legal protection for people they prey upon.

I'd urge you to be an unrepentant hardass if it were just yourself, but you've got your kid to think about. Parents can't afford to have pride, especially when the crazys are roaming free & the justice system is turned against ordinary people.

If they can't track you down, just stay off FB & practice "Information Blackout." That's a philosophy I've used for 30 years when I want to forever sever ties with someone. Become invisible to social media (and whatever else you can think of). Don't even try to find out what's being said by these people anymore. Never let them live rent-free in your head. Total information blackout. I've used this on various women I've dated over the years whom I wanted to forget. I refused to talk about them or hear them talked about.. just blot them out from my memory forever. Works great.

You should be ashamed of yourself

Here's the thing, if you're going to be treated as a racist but aren't one you've got a limited set of choices; you can either ignore them and carry on and point out that n*ggers come in all colors and creeds and he was being a stupid n*gger, or you can hide from scrutiny and live in fear of their persecution, or lastly and not a choice I would choose is to apologize to the stupid n*gger for calling him a stupid n*gger.

Your other choice, go with it, and become a racist. It's a disease, you catch it from n*ggers, and it's wrong for people to judge you for a disease.

Just go to your local gas station and begin filling your tank. You will soon hear the swooning voice of some rap so called artist saying the "N" word over and over, calling all women ho's and bitches , and proclaiming their hate for the Police Force in general.

This feigned outrage about the "N" word is laughable...
