But. The other night I was dreaming I was at a protest. There were police in riot gear. The streets were mostly empty. It was an ordinary late-night city scene. Then the massive giants taller than buildings came down the street rolling boulders to mow people down. I hadn't had a dream that far from reality in decades. I was like, damn. I don't know what lies they told you, but I can promise they were lies. There's a fine line between training, trauma, and torture. |
