I'm not generally in the habit of talking to or rubbing down wild animals

I talk to wild animals all the time if they are around.

Once I was looking for a golf ball, walked up on a buck and he let me touch him before he walked off.

Some years later i walked up to a ferral donkey who was obviously not into me and I was petting him when he tried to do a quick spin and kick. But I was standing at his pivot point (saw it coming) and stepped with him as he came around . We ended up in the same position with my hand still on his neck. That blew his mind, and I decided we had enough contact. The rest of the people were like da fuck this white boy doing? I just smiled.

But yeah dont fuck with wild animals. I was hiking in alaska saying bear bear bear like all the time then two fucking bears pushed down the berry bush between us and looked at me like "what". I was like fuck there is no fence here. Unnerving. So I said hi, and sorry. And they went back to the berries. That was spooky.

And last week I trapped a ferral cat who let me reach in and pet her in the cage. She lives under my porch now.

Me too, they come right up to and on my porch, watch me and the TV through the windows. I have the same ones that live around me for many years. They know me and talk back to me too, call me for help or a drink of water, warn me when there is danger. The birds and critter are my friends, but I do not touch them. They feel safe around me and like me. It shocks and panics others to see so many wild animals come up to us, when they visit. Some are very dangerous and get run off or killed of course.

I have a little cat colony. All were feral when they arrived. Now they're like pet cats. Spay the females!
