I got the measles twice and chicken pox once. Got vaxxed against polio, but not small pox in the early 70's upon entering grade school.

I don't know what all the typical vaccines were, but I never did get the mumps or whooping cough.

Our two oldest were vaxxed against whooping cough and caught it. Our youngest, who has only had one shot in her life (vitamin k) did catch whooping cough, but that is the only time she ever had antibiotics. And she is now 15.

My MIL who worked in the medical profession for her whole life, was a huge proponent for yearly flu shots. Having Lymphoma, I told her several times I thought it was a bad idea... she told me I was crazy. As she got ill every year.

Well, I never pushed it at her, or my wife, but my wife started looking into some of the things that I did. And she started just casually mentioning this article, or that paper, to her Mom.

Fast forward several years (over ten) since the lady realized HERSELF what a danger this was to her, specifically, along with most in general, and stopped getting any shots whatsoever. Well, guess what? Her regular CBCs have improved DRAMATICALLY, her levels are FAR more stable, almost normal all the time now, and she's gotten one cold that I can recall in the last 8 years. Coincidence? Considering that her lifestyle hasn't changed significantly (she actually probably exercises a bit less and eats a bit more.) the ONLY linked factor would be... her cessation of flu shots.
