I laid awake all night thinking about past failures

Worrying about making more mistakes in the future

Makes it hard to decide anything after so many losses

I’m not a quitter ... just tired of climbing the ladder and finding it was against the wrong wall ... never getting ahead - reaching my “potential” - being able to give back or give to my family - can’t afford to see them much and my heart aches for lack of a purpose or ability to give

Sometimes life throws us some truly nasty curve balls, that make us doubt about how we ever get out of that situation. Life at times plain sucks, lasting longer for one than the other. Personal doom. Heartaches, grief, illness, financial troubles. Most of us know them and experience them at times. Making it difficult to find a light at the end of the tunnel.

One of the many dear friends I met on here a few years ago, is going through this situation. I do not want to share any details, for her own protection, but she can use confirmation that there is a future past this present.

I am not asking for money or anything like that, but all I ask of you is to share some kindness, encouraging, motivational, loving words, prayers and thoughts, to show her and her family that she is not alone and that even at the most challenging times we find each other in the darkest dark. Through that we find belief back, in ourselves, in life, in others. It encourages us to never give up.

Maybe you find yourself in a similar situation right now. Then please by all means, know that these words posted by others also apply to you. We are many and through that we find hope, belief, encouragement and determination to go on.

We are no quitters, we struggle and always come out back on top, even if it takes a while. You are not alone. And if you feel the need to vent and your story is too personal to share, feel free to message me in private or send me an email at [email protected] if that is not possible. I will be glad to listen and try to motivate and encourage you and convince you that life will be better again.

Just for the record, like with all my threads, insults, ridiculing, name calling and blaming words, have no place on here and will be reported and deleted. I was in my early forties; I had three young teenagers, and could not work because of the Epstein/Barr virus horrible chronic fatigue / inflammation. In middle of a super-nasty divorce, abusive husband, and loss of my beautiful home in one night due to physical attack by this person; I had to leave, and found a tiny home to rent the next morning, where we all slept on army cots in the front of the house.
Court-ordered child support, although not enough, got us through, somehow.
Finally when house and another property sold and divided, I was able to begin to carefully manage this money for our survival.
How I got through all of this I do not know,,,but FOR THE GRACE AND MERCY OF GOD AND HIS SON JESUS CHRIST.
Slowly recovered my strength with natural diet, and was able to get simple jobs to continue on, living a very simple life.
Still here now past mid-70's.
I pray for this person, InterMezzo, that their situation improves, that God gives them guidance and comfort...

It is always in the most trying of moments that we discover the true potential of our inner strength.

Light can only be found in the darkness.

Remember that carbon is only transformed into diamond when it has been under immense pressure over long periods of time.

Challenging times come with challenging lessons but these lessons must be learnt in order for us to grow as individuals.

Also, the only constant in life is that everything is temporary. Feelings are fleeting. Not matter how bad the situation, it will change eventually. You just need to get through each day until it happens. Draw upon personal strength, universal strength and never be afraid to ask for help.

Laugh whenever you can. It's a great attraction of positive energies.

No idea who this person is or anything, but I'm sending loads of positive vibes their way. Going through some personal bumps in the road at the moment too, but simply letting someone know you are there for them, even if you dont know them, can mean everything to them.
