Sometimes often whenever he can

he will go weeks

getting up only to drink and eat if possible.

He will not get up to shit or piss...

I drink at home a lot these days. It works out better. Thanks for sharing anyhow.

rarely drank wine. I found rotgut vodka to be somewhat more severe.

lol...this is funny but sad at the same time.

how in thee hell did he make it to the store? Must've had an ethanol enema before he left the house.

totally ruins lives and families ... speaking from experience, drunks make their lives, and the lives of the people around them a living hell

I am totally convinced, that the "spirits" in alcohol, possess drunks ...it is the only explanation for their behavior and self abuse - my husband was not himself - for 40 years ...

he has been sober now for 13 years apparently the demons moved on after wasting his entire adult life - he doesn't remember much of it - which is probably for the best ... it has taken him a decade to get his mental and physical health back ... he has grandkids and great grandkids he has never met ... and is just now beginning to communicate with ... his brothers won't ever talk to him again ... we all gave up trying to help him after numerous failed atempts at re hab ... he hasn't had a driver's license or owned a car, for thirty years and he lost count of how many times he was thrown in jail ...

we invited him to Thanks-giving dinner to meet his family this year... he cried ... been crying about his choices for a decade now.

Being a drunk sucks as do all addictions,
But different degrees of drunk , my German grandmother could drink 12 full flavored beers a day and still work and raise 6 kids. She lived to 95 only after she fell n broke her hip. Lost mobility shd went down from there.

I can't help but laugh until I cry. He grabs on to the bowl to try to catch himself from falling backwards.
But yes, it is sad. I also wonder how he got there. I hope he didn't drive there.
