Anyone else think Glen Campbell is absolutely brilliant?

Yeah. I respect the way he handled slipping into the darkness of Alzheimer's. I think it helped others battling that illness.

When I was growing up my Dad played a lot of Glenn Campbell on the old console stereo, good stuff and I still like it.

This one gets me, as my Dad went through Alzheimers and this song pretty much sums it up. For those that don't know Glenn had Alzheimers.

Yes, never did that much until, I watched a documentary on his life a few years ago then, I gained much respect for him and appreciation of his talent.

He was fantastic even tho I grew up to be a rock and roller. I watched his variety show growing up. We took all those good things and talented people for granted, thinking it would always be the norm.

Just this morning I listened to his beautiful duet of “Little Green Apples” with Bobbi Gentry. Very touching rendition.

Born late 50's myself and i do remember when shows like Glen Campbell and Danny Kaye seemed like the norm and how things would always be. Along came Laugh-in and suddenly sleaze began making it's way in to prime time. 60's tv was squeaky clean as I recall.

It was the best of times. If we only knew....

It all fell apart when they let Rhett Butler say "Damn" when they ran GWTW on TV. Mama was shocked I tell ya.
