Um where I live in California, women runners can't run in the day...she's a lucky bitch...

I am a ultra trail runner, and I have run all over the globe, never been accosted, nor harmed or threatened until I came to the Santa Cruz mountains.

Every trail here I have been bombarded with crazy men, often naked, or in process of, appearing as if the fell from the sky or manifested from a bush, but always threatening, and were I not well armed, I'd be dead long since.

I came here by way of British columbia, Rockies running, bears, lions, wolves, never gave me the fright that toxic rapey men have.

Before this, I was in the Colorado Rockies, same deal wild animals abounded on every run, all in great seclusion miles from anyone anywhere, never felt safer. I ran at night gleefully and willingly in both locations. My running is my bliss, my therapists office and the core of my happy soul, when allowed.

It is a true affliction, the right to run free without hindrance, it often feels as a woman runner there is a target on your back and men just lose their senses. I'm an old bitch too, 51, but it has yet to cease the harassment, makes me want to quit all together sometimes.

I can't wait to gtfo of California...
