Any legal ninjas/wizards on here?
Long story short: I got a call from paypal today to pay an outstanding charge that I did not consent to and am still arguing with ebay about. They said I must pay them and take it up with ebay or they will suspend my account and may send debt collectors...

It's only around $50, so do I pay and chase ebay? I've been chasing them for over a month to no avail, if they reply it's with a scripted reply.

I sold a perfect working xbox kinect, and the punk requested a return, ebay did it. The guy returned a broken and dirty unit, 100% not the item I sent. Ebay says pictures are not enough proof. I wish I had photographed the serial number, but alas I did not expect such con men to be operating on ebay.

Is there anything I can do, or have I just been robbed of my item and have to pay $50 for the privilege?

How does one become a 'legal ninja'?

Stab a lawyer without the bear in the woods hearing it? 1dunno1

By knowing Blacks Law dictionary, that makes your words as lethal as any ninja weapon.

But I can see how you got confused, maybe I should change the title to legal wizards.

You got scammed, and 'the system' unfortunately protects the scammer, themselves, and not you, they will chase you for it.

I'm guessing so. The guy had his address as an 'ebay drop off point' And when I requested his details so I can pursue legal action against, I get nothing but silence from ebay.

Do I have a means to get this persons details so I can file against him, or am I pissing up the wall?

I'm not knowledgeable enough to take ebay or paypal on, but I'm sure there is something that can be done. I mean I'm the criminal victim in this instance, by two parties...

It's not the money, it's the principle.

You're hosed.

Ebay and Paypal suck. Ebay almost always sides with buyers / scammers.

Paypal illegally seizes funds for political reasons, or no reason at all.
