When I made my first website 25 years ago there was no Youtube.

If you wanted to share something with the entire planet, you bought a computer, you hired an ISP, you bought a domain name, you hired a hosting company, you created your content, then you coded a website to present your content to the world.

Thank you, Clapton's Doctrine! There have been a number of YouTubers who have gone out of their ways in the last five years at least to accurately portray the daily lives of actual hard working YouTubers. Specifically YouTubers who put hard work into their videos instead of slapping them together. I think the many earlier YouTube viral videos and YouTube originally using Flash technology for their videos instead of HTML5 is the entire reason why so many people believe YouTubers a bunch of lazy losers who produce nothing but garbage videos. YouTube has grown one heck alot since the days of viral videos being a YouTube staple.

The primary source of income for YouTubers was the ad revenue, but even that is almost entirely gone nowadays for many YouTubers it would seem. At least it seems to be the case for many of the YouTubers who I have been subscribed to. It sucks to see so many YouTubers to been completely reduced to e-begging and living off the table scraps other people are willing to throw them. Especially when YouTube ad revenue for so many other YouTubers, even smaller channels, was so good and reliable that e-begging was viewed as derogatory. TheQuartering even posted a video somewhat recently about how he seemingly proved that YouTube has been stealing many millions of dollars from it's content creators by allowing ads on the YouTube videos they have demonetized. I watched that video and I don't think TheQuartering proved a whole lot. Just more common sense stuff to me than anything else.

For any GLPers who are active YouTubers good luck both in riding YouTube till the wheels fall off and being able to migrate somewhere else to make your living. Also I've been getting this deep seated suspicion that what is happening with Google and their property, YouTube, is actually the inception of a horrific wave of financially debilitating measures across the Internet. As it stands now there are seemingly countless ways to make up to alot of money on the Internet alone. It seems to me as though Google at least is taking it upon themselves to destroy as many peoples' livelihoods in order to force some sort of form of Universal Basic Income onto the masses.

Sure, the UBI idea sounds immeasurably fantastic, especially at two or so grand a month, but one must consider the price(s) of accepting any form or forms of UBI. One being you can be legally forced to hold no job or jobs, and even become an employee of said Corporation with or without your Consent. As money sources begin to dry up faster and faster across the Internet the more likely you'll wind up turning to physical and/or online crime(s) just to survive at all in real life. For Google and/or other powerful Luciferian Corporations to be able to do this to people without repercussions, at least so far, this is probably a form of litmus testing on the public. For Google at least to see how far they can shove their anti-consumer practices without getting into legal hot water. Who knows maybe Google alone may cause the entire Internet to just plain crash as we know it because the Internet will no longer be profitable for anyone on Earth. Now that would be pretty messed up to me.

And I'm not sure I understand the motivations behind mocking someone who champions efforts toward self-sufficiency and self-reliance.

I have a teenageer with Downs - she has her own channel - ketogenic recipes that are Special needs friendly - They shut down her account. They offered no explanation. I appealed - there is no way she could have violated her terms of service. Her channel is in good standing - or was. It really hurt her - and this is total bullshit.

I also have my own channel that is clearly being threatened.

We are moving to bitchute, zoom, and venmo. No - they don't have the traffic YET - but give this thing a chance to backfire in their self-satisfied faces. It will be fun to watch.
