If you worship stones, dust and fire you are definitely destined there. No pun intended this time, just Religion 101.

This may be wasted energy, but what I am saying is the people I see as most confident, most unflappable in your community are not those who behave in what you yourself would call a saintly way. And it seems the bulk of the speeches I hear are made up to defend them from the consequences of that behavior. Now if this is a stratified society, and those are just humoring people until life is over for the sake of the wealthy and powerful, then why the fake bleeding hearts? It isn't a psychopathic question to ask. But I keep getting this run-around about empathy for the rich, and how they must suffer in their positions, and how many people they help.

I believed those things for quite some time because I believed in the people who were saying them. Now that the shine has worn off, and the person's tears instantly dry up, and they pull a gun on me with a leering smirk, I say to myself: what's the point? There's a lot of stuff out there I missed out on, and it seems that the favored children did not. Why the shame and obligation when I try?

Either you have access to answers to small questions that you are withholding, or you lack any answers to anything I ask. You obviously want to play prosecuting attorney, and all that does is erode the sympathy that other people's suffering is displayed to elicit from me. I've heard 'the promise of future goodness for present suffering' my whole life, and it finally got old. Meanwhile, I am shamed for eating food I like, associating with people I actually get along with, and doing the few remaining things that cause me any pleasure.

If, as you said, you can trust those with sharp teeth (sharks) more than those with gap teeth (sensual, like the Wife of Bath), then go to those you trust. It's that easy! Otherwise, I already know that your Kafka-style construct of fear and uncertainty is complex enough to have been worked out for centuries, and this to much more mundane purposes that 'trying to save souls/the world.' If pimps and bullies have a place in the world to come and I don't unless I do something special, and what I've already done doesn't count, then fuck it. I'm not jealous of them. I know that the mind games will NEVER stop, and so I say 'a people who love warriors love war.' And a people who call people who want to be left alone weak and evil HATE PEACE.
