Guy Spends $4000 On Giant Statue To Give His Whole Town The Middle Finger | |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 77755236 United States 11/20/2019 12:48 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Wonder what the zoning laws are. If it's zoned as residential only, then what's the guy's beef? Nobody wants a vehicle repair garage going up in the middle of a residential developement if it's supposed to be houses only. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 77755236 Well, then since you want to dictate what others can or cannot do with their property, maybe your neighbor will build something similar. Hope you like it better than a garage. Send me your address. I want to build a 300 ton stamping press right next to your bedroom window. Imagine a quarter stick of dynamite going off 90 times a minute for the next 16 hours everyday but holidays. Still hate zoning laws, tool? |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 77755236 Zoning laws are antithetical to free market capitalism. It is why housing prices are so high. If I buy a plot of land next to a million dollar mansion and build $50,000 house, it will lower the property value of the mansion making it more affordable for other people. That is capitalism in action. The owner of the mansion running to politicians he payed off to put a stop to me building that is not capitalism. What if your neighbors build a pig farm next to your house? I am free to move elsewhere. The moment the state gets involved is not free market capitalism. |
