Fucking liar. How the fuck you get high on Kratom? Do you also get high on coffee? How much do you take? Are you using that 50x extract? Cause that's about the only way anyone could get high on Kratom and NOT get constipated.

Also never every buy kratom in head shops or gas stations. THAT is where the heroin addicts buy theirs to head off their "sick" until they can get heroin. The assholes that "manufacture" for that market have been known to add fent so their heroin addict customers get an extra bump from their brand and will buy it again. I have never and would never touch headshop / gas station kratom pills. Not to mention it is quadruple the price of a vendor that has been in business for many many years, has a solid testing routine and customer base they don't want to kill.

I also wanted to note that there is an industry group, I can't remember the name of it at the moment but they were lobbying to get states to pass friendly legislation while also set up a certification process for vendors to get vendors to start following GMP (good manufacturing practices).

What you want if you are worried about contaminants is to stick to vendors following GMP/cGMP and using a copacking facility to pack the kratom (these are the companies that pack sports supplements and stuff like that). Unfortunately online you will get a ton of backlash from people who don't know what they are talking about trying to convince you to buy from their bulk vendors online because they see it as a little cottage industry where they are able to operate like drug dealers but "legal". So you can be cheap and buy bulk product from someone scooping the stuff into bags to ship to you in their living room with their pets roaming around. Or, you can pay more to buy from a place that tests, sterilizes, and professionally packs the product following GMP (which means clean room, regular tests for mold and microbes and stuff in the facility, etc.).

Urban Ice Organix is the company that funded a lot of the professionalization of the industry and that Joe Rogan uses etc. They are crazy expensive so people put them down, but they have a clearance section on their website where you can get product at crazy discounts if you keep an eye on it. Alternatively there's like a dozen other certified vendors. I have bought a lot of bulk containers off their clearance section when they come up, and their product is relatively strong (not as strong as some other online vendors, but stronger than average headshop kratom) and the grind is nice and fine.

Now, that said, I just bought another batch of kratom from a vendor that isn't certified as far as I know, but I trust them they have good procedures and their product is strong. But you have to do your research and know who you are buying from and what their processes are.

For headshop/convenience store kratom I've been pretty pleased with the njoy kratom I've picked up a few times at the local convenience store.

I get high on Kratom by toss and washing plain powder kratom. Kratom gets you high, thats what it does, it is a narcotic/opioid that happens to be legal for the moment.

Head shop and gas station kratom can be just fine. Depends what you buy. njoy kratom's Trainwreck product is great. OPMS is good, and the OPMS liquid kratom extract is very potent. Mit45 liquid extract is good but pricey, although a bottle goes a long way for me.

The pricing of the head shop and gas station kratom is in line with the pricing of actual GMP certified vendors, because its coming from GMP copackers.

A cheap vendor that has been in business for many many years is nice and all but they aren't doing the kind of testing a real GMP facility is doing. Sending a small sample off to a lab for a test once in awhile is not enough. What about environmental testing of the facility where the kratom is being packed for customers? Some of those cheapie vendors are storing the bulk kratom in like giant mason jar type containers on a shelf like you would store flour at home.

Aha, this makes sense. You are afraid if people state that kratom gets you high because its an opioid just like heroin and fentanyl that it will get scheduled and you won't be able to get high anymore. That's ok, I like to get high on it too and hope it doesn't get taken away. Its a fun high, the green gives a good euphoria rush and the red gives you that nod and combined you get that feeling of bliss for hours. That's why people love it.

9 years of use from an online vendor is quite a bit, but you have also made the choice that its an acceptable risk to roll the dice. And that's just the point, let people be informed so they can choose what type of processing and standards and resultant price point meets the risk they are willing to take.

Unfortunately I don't think kratom, at least the kratom available today, could ever pass any standards that would get it government certified for human consumption because the heavy metals contamination is too much. I'm not aware of any way you can clean like cadmium and stuff out of it. I mostly skimmed that guy's thread from double m, but I don't think he covered the revelations about the high concentration of heavy metals in kratom powder. I guess there must be some process one could develop to strip the metals but it would be super expensive and probably cheaper to design and build a controlled kratom farming operation from scratch in a different location than Indonesia. Incidentally someone was trying to do that but I don't know if they were ever successful.

Its not a lie, there is lab analysis. The FDA did lab analysis, but prior to the FDA there were a few independent folks who also did analysis that was posted to reddit. Heck Wonderland Labs says 50% of samples sent to them fail the Lead threshold. 50 friggin percent. 50. One half.

Opiates are opioids. Opiate just means made from opium. They work the same. You get high the same. If you were a heroin user or a fent user or a morphine user or oxy user etc. your opioid tolerance would be much higher and so you wouldn't get as high off of kratom. But for someone who has never used heroin or similar drugs, kratom will give you the same high and nod experience because your opioid tolerance is not that high.

I get very high off plain powder. I don't use extracts regularly, although I've tried them. They are convenient but the cost is too high for me. I just toss and wash, 5-8 grams is enough for me depending on how good the particular batch is and I get super friggin high from it. I love it it makes listening to music really enjoyable. I get that blissed out feeling from it and the numbing and relaxation. Usually I mix the green and the red because the green acts faster so after the euphoria from the green peaks I am still coming up on the red and the overall high lasts for hours. Actually, I think I'm gonna redose now and put on some Pink Floyd.

Heavy metals get in the soil, could be from any of a variety of sources. Kratom is grown in a third world country its not like the US or Europe with an EPA and clean manufacturing. Imagine growing your kratom trees here on an EPA superfund site.

I don't really care what particular brand anyone wants to buy and use. But people should be aware of what they are buying and using. I buy from online vendors too sometimes, because its an acceptable risk to me after I look at their lab report. Some people who are using Kratom have risk factors though where heavy metals are or should be a consideration for them. I mostly just want to get high.

And apart from the heavy metals we haven't touched on the e. coli that is in 30% of kratom samples or the salmonella outbreaks. Which if you buy from a vendor that sterilizes isn't an issue. Some of the bulk online vendors do do this.

Also it should be noted that while mitragynine and 7-hydro are the main alkaloids that people refer to as the ones that get you high and are responsible for kratom's effects, kratom actually has a lot more alkaloids most of which are not understood. Its why kratom acts like a combination of drugs. Its also why I like it, because the high is like a total mind and body experience. But, its unknown how those additional alkaloids work and what interactions if any they might have with other drugs or foods. I believe there are a couple of places trying to do the research to figure out what all those alkaloids are and what else they do. Right now nobody knows.

I would consider it more of a buzz than a high. It definitely causes an increased mood and can be "felt" in the body when taken. Because of this, it will fall under the category of "mind altering substance".

Different people use it for different reasons. There's obviously beneficial properties to be utilized.

I find that when I take it, it provides benefit to my life. It helps relief anxiety and keep me in a positive mindset. I work a high stress job and kratom helps me function at high standards.
