The attack on him wasn't unparalleled. There's been worse. Waco for example.

We were saturated in propaganda demonizing them after the fact. Given how intensely racist & bigoted the left is when they seize control of federal guns, I always assume the worst. All those people died after they assaulted them like stormtroopers when a simple knock at the door could've resolved things. Didn't know the truth at the time - was still being brainwashed by the boobtube. Now we're seeing it evolve & go mainstream.

Were they ever really the "good guys" or did we still just have the illusion that they were? Meaning the leadership. Not the rank and file. J. Edgar Hoover was a real piece of work.

The Las Vegas massacre investigation was a cover-up. The WTC investigation was a coverup. The assassinations of JFK, RFK, and Mlk were coverups as was the investigation of the George Wallace attempted assasination.

While those coverups were occurring, they botched the investigation of the Weather Underground, allowing people like Bernadine Dohrn and Tom Hayden to become University professors and mentor Barak Obama.

If you go back to their origins under J.Edgar Hoover, in 1924, they were never good guys.

I do remember there was a cool TV show about them that made them out to be competent LEOs. Television isn't real.

All lies. The FBI has always been bad guys. Not all of them of course, but the Management is. Always has been. What better position to be in to manipulate and avoid prosecution than to be IN CHARGE OF THE INVESTIGATION.

It actually was a great show. I loved "The FBI". I only wish they were actually like Efrem Zimbalist Jr (Erskine). Such a great theme too. This show made us feel like there were real solid people in charge protecting us. HAH!

Those old Quinn Martin shows were so good. "The Invaders" in another one of my favs.

How strange....."The Invaders" turned out to be true and "The FBI" was fiction.
