They are calling for Barr's resignation because:

1) he refused to allow Schiff to interrogate administration officials without white house counsel lawyers to advise and instruct anyone who appears before his committee. Barr demanded that anyone that appeared before Schiff have a lawyer present.

2) Barr said Schiff's subpoenas were "legally invalid" because Schiff didn't allow lawyers to be present and because Schiff didn't have the right committee name on them after the impeachment resolution changed his committee.

Schiff could have easily rectified his fuck ups but refused to do so because he knew the media would claim for him that Barr had obstructed Justice without looking into the reasons why Barr made the decision to instruct Administration officials not to attend.
