Tessa Majors was an 18-year-old talented freshman at Barnard College who was stabbed to death in a horrific sequence of events in Manhattan. She managed to make it to a school security booth while wounded, but it was empty.

According to the Columbia Spectator, police say “a group of suspects approached Majors and demanded her property” before one member of the group stabbed her “several times.”

A security guard made the 911 call at 5:36 p.m. on December 11, 2019 after finding Majors “unconscious with multiple stab wounds.”

ABC7 journalist CeFaan Kim wrote on Twitter, “18-year-old Barnard College student found stabbed to death was robbed by group of suspects. She managed to climb stairs wounded from Morningside Park, collapsed in front of school security booth, empty as guard made rounds. Found 30mins later. Too late.”

What is especially rage-making is that these “thugs” attacked an 18 year old woman, as a group, and used weapons. If they wanted to mug her, there would no need to stab her if they had numbers.

It is a good thing that Bill de Blasio got rid of "stop and frisk". By getting rid of that New Yorkers no longer have much to fear while carrying around illegal guns and knives as they cruise the city (looking for victims).

I know that many here believe that ANYBODY ANYWHERE should be able to carry, but in the biggest of the big cities with all those around in such a concentrated space who have mental issues I disagree. What works in a small town, rural area, or even in a big BUT SPREAD OUT city like Dallas (which has LOW population densities even in its core downtown), just isn't the same as what works in a super high population density area such as NYC.

"IF" you totally believe in carrying anytime anywhere then you HAVE to support de Blasio's getting rid of "stop and frisk" ... and it's automatic given that street crime is then going to skyrocket in NY City.

This student is mostly a victim of the elimination of NYC's "stop and frisk" policy ... which has led to a many multiple increase in low lifes now again carrying weapons, and starting to use them, in the City.

She was gorgeous and smart. Sad.

Until we start executing after conviction and 1 appeal processed for execution within 2 weeks of appeal denial, as in the old west days, this will continue to happen, as Good people we MUST eliminate the animals from within our society, or face the eventual collapse of civilization...

Quick Executions after conviction also mean freeing up alot of jail space for non-violent or less violent offenders that MAY be rehabilitated as well..

The only fake news is the ages of the perps. It was a group of 12-13 year old black boys that did it. I know the family. She was the great niece of Johnny Majors, the former head football coach for the University of Tennessee. The little kids "attempted" to rob her and one of them just started stabbing her. Witnesses called 9-1-1 as she staggered to the security booth bleeding, and she bled out and died before any help could arrive.

They've already arrested one of the kids that did it.
