Quoting: Anonymous Coward 76750754 [link to apollo.mem-tek.com] This isn't a lunar stream tonight and no telescope on Earth is large enough to resolve the equipment we left behind. Fortunately LROC has imaged the landing sites from lunar orbit, so you can kindly fuck off. |

I suppose the most obvious are the multiple light sources and spot lights. Or how the shadow side of an object is in full illumination somehow. Or how about how shadows in the same pictures aren't cast at the same angle suggesting the aforementioned use of multiple light sources. But just buy into everything hook line and sinker. |

Multiple light sources would result in multiple shadows. Learn some basics of how photography works. Indirect lighting from the lunar surface is a thing and the shadows are not necessarily all going to point in the same direction depending on the field of view and the terrain. I reckon you ahould release it here at GLP FIRST. For 2 reasons. 1...if is IS doom you want it out there and copied and downloaded and viral. Cant be buries then or hushed up. 2...we fucking deserve to know first. After years and years of waiting for doom..WE should be the first to know we are all finally doomed. |

After years and years of waiting for doom..WE should be the first to know we are all finally doomed. Yes of course. If I find something doomy I will tell you guys first. When I was stacking the images just now I came across a streak and I thought might have been an asteroid but there wasn't supposed to be an asteroid in the view. I thought I was going to get to announce a discovery tonight but then when I checked the individual images I discovered the streak was just due to some sort of blip in the tracking. I think the camera shifted for a moment before the autoguiding corrected it. In any case, the streak was just a star that got blurred during the shift. In the final stack it looked like a near Earth asteroid streak though. Last Edited by Astromut on 12/15/2019 02:35 AM |

User ID: 78143201 New Zealand 12/15/2019 02:51 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Going to break out the telescope and see what I can do with an Astronomik UHC nebula filter on this moon-filled evening. Not sure what I'm going to photograph yet, maybe the California nebula, maybe the Rosette, we'll see once I get it all set up. Amazing. Thank you. The Lone Ranger “Time is free, but it's priceless. You can't own it, but you can use it. You can't keep it, but you can spend it. Once you've lost it you can never get it back.” Harvey MacKay. |

And if it definaltley is NOT doom...why mention it? |
