trigger happy subhumans should have authentic training simply observing reactions BY UNARMED personnel working IN ANY overcrowded,hectic ER setting in dealing with hyped up obvious psych patients along w/the generic cranked up--no beatings,no shots fired,etc- and i state observing as no need to "cut" any red tape is involved---however,a thorough "post clinical" conference is a demand and a demonstration via role playing the same UNTIL they know how to react.

the newer crap on having THEM as the first responders has led to this.
IF THE brain dead legislators and all involved that ensured LAW enforcement as the 1s to be the 1st responders to obvious emotionally disturbed calls/"EDs", then they must be trained...and yeah to ANY morans babbling BS on what if this and that ?
fugh off as any ER personnel has no choice in WHAT enters,IS not armed and deals w/being cursed at,threatened on and on sometimes for hours and again,all without beating up patients etc and will back up what was posted.

Well of course Hawk but dang, that cop kept giving an obviously mentally unstable person conflicting instructions. I am normally 100% behind what our officers do because we all know it's a damn thankless job but dang, this cop handled this completely the wrong way.

Psychiatric situation? The guy was shitfaced. What exactly were the cops supposed to do? The dude was given a chance to leave. Do you really think there is anything anyone could have said to him to get him to move on? Or to surrender peacefully? He was bombed beyond reason.

Here's the world we now inhabit;

The drug addicted, alcoholics, and mentally ill are roaming the cities with stolen property, harassing passersby with impunity. We have to listen to their slurred insults and avoid stepping in the piles of runny stool, discarded syringes, broken glass from cheap liquor bottles while they clog the entrances of struggling businesses.

They may argue and hurl profanities at law enforcement officers who are asked by taxpaying business owners to remove them from their property and they can keep it up for as long as they like, but the moment they are finally after multiple reasonable pleas to leave the private property they neither maintain nor own, then it's all about their rights.

Our entire national narrative is a big stinking shit heap of lies. From the filthy madmen and illegal immigrant hordes to the mentally unbalanced sexual deviants and cross dressing perverts, to the venal and corrupt politicians who embolden these freaks of nature and the press that sanctifies the filthy and mocks the decent, it's all a facade. There is nothing worth saving anymore.

The progs think this will go on forever until every tradition has been trampled underfoot, every family broken up, every norm corrupted simply because good people haven't had enough and thrown off their inherent good nature and imparted values of their past, but that won't last forever and when the damn breaks, no one will call the police on people like this, they'll just start sending out death squads like they have done in a hundred countries where this shit has become intolerable.

The only living thing in that clip that elicited even a twinge of sympathy in my formerly Christian heart was the poor dog whose owner repeatedly choked him in between his incoherent and profanity filled protests. Too bad he doesn't have a family who could care for him and provide him with proper shelter and real affection because that human trainwreck hasn't the capacity for anything but his own hunger and want.

So now cops are suppose to have a doctorate in psychology? They receive a ton of training. Some cops only get paid 20-25k a year. How would those pay back student loans on your expectations?

I believe cops should be minimum of 35 years old to work alone. Most issues are that they do not have enough life experience for the pressures of the job. Most do not have the maturity for the job.

Just ask any cop and they will tell you look out for the young one's. They are cocky and think they are above the law.

i think the cops were right, except the part where they attempted to shoot a dog running away from them.

No longer trained in negotiations, no longer able to calmly and intelligently assess, instill trust, and diffuse the situation.

They shoot and kill petite women, afraid of a 5-inch knife, or a young man, suffering mental illness that just needs to be calmed, needs times to regain his capacities.

So easy to use tactical moves and gain the upper hand, yet cops have become cowards, reactionary.

They are trained to shoot. To kill. The value of Life having none at all.

I’ve met some cops that work very well with the psychiatric patients they bring to the hospital on a police hold, but yes, most of them have training on how to deal with psychiatric emergencies. It’s a specialized skill set.

(Note to self: don't stand around crazy people to see how the cops will handle the situation) The term 'reloaded' should be part of this particular story

When cops shoot an innocent they should get life in prison every time. Every single time an officer abuses a citizen they deserve prison. If an officer breaks the law they should get mandatory life.
