This date of 4,200 years ago, was published in 1870 AD. So, that author thought the flood was 2330 BC. Close to the KJV elucidation date of 2241 BC.

The last world flood was when the glaciers melted from the ice age almost 12,000 years ago.

Exactly what I thought.

There could have been a flood event then but it wouldn't have been nearly as big as when the glaciers from the ice age melted. From where I'm standing right now, there would have been a mile of ice over my head 12,000 years ago. Some of that melted ice became the Great Lakes.
