Quoting: Anonymous Coward 77937168 Google will have access to everything. If you don't mind sharing or letting someone like that have control, go for it. Personally, I don't trust Google at all, it's only a matter of time before they abuse that trust you give them. Remember, the person in control of your camera can see everything to monitor you and potentially omit things if they have someone coming to your home. You won't know they were there or they remotely turn off the cameras without you knowing it. Your other choice is to keep the cameras on a private network where you record your own info and keep the data completely offline. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 77937168 might as well put those cameras in your bedroom. They see what you see and the police do not need your permission to view footage. Do your research and build your own private secure system with private cloud backup that only YOU can view/delete. |

Ring: some hacker hacked into the ring cameras and started talking to a little girl. [link to www.wlox.com (secure)] Wyze: some hacker stole the customers info including the debit card info. [link to www.cnn.com (secure)] Arlo cameras have the same issues and they are fucking expensive as hell. Atleast Google fixed the security flaws last year by adding mobile phone authentication. |
