I’m thinking 2018 vette or 2014 911. I got a new accountant and he saved me 35k in taxes this heat with a few maneuvers so I want to buy something nice. I’ve always just leased a luxury sedan or suv but nothing super exciting. I’m 38 and guess you could say I’m having a midlife crisis.

What would be your top 3 cars between 40-60k. I don’t want anything super exotic. I don’t want to spend a ton on maintenance. And I will be driving it 7-10k miles a year. Totally open to a convertible also!

I don’t think that’s true at all. A lot of intelligent out of the box thinkers here. If people like yourself would have some restraint and not interject I’m sure I can get some good ideas

BMW F10 M5, if serviced well and looked after. Otherwise a vette is a safe bet. LS* motors are solid

Buy a new model 3 performance, at least go drive one. You’ll never want a gas car again!

I would buy an older vette, stingray. That way you get classic styling, easy repairs, and your investment does not depreciate.

Wait, that is exactly what I did!

I guess you could search carpro for his site of reviews and dealers giving his prices.

The Porsche would be more fun. Be sure to spring for the 4S or Turbo. But repairs are pricey if you use the dealership. The Vette would cost less to own.

Drive both and see which fits you better. Dodge Viper is another you might like. Stay away from anything with 4 doors. That’s a sedan, not a sports car.

cheers
