It occurs to me that Greta's parents keep her isolated from others to perpetuate this idea of her being this great independent thinker and activist.

Consider, if she was actually going to school like other kids her age she'd interact with them and they'd know what she was really like. Also, perhaps this bit about her not taking planes is so she won't appear in PUBLIC - she just takes private yachts. That might be what was behind her actions on the train in Germany. I keep getting the sense she is being isolated from others to keep the myth going.

The information they're citing is from WIRED magazine. I would think WIRED would be pretty accurate about this kind of embarrassing computer glitch.
