Looking at those stars is essentially observing the past. If we were able to travel there in an instant, it would be very different, not to mention in a different location relative to its current point of observation.

What could be potentially disastrous is if Sirius A would supernova as it is approximately 9 light years away and almost twice the size as our Sun and 50 times hotter. It is one large blue motherf'er. Those blue stars burn hotter and faster which they don't last as long as their redder cousins. If it did go supernova, it might create a black hole within our immediate stellar neighborhood. YIKES!

Sirius A to our view is a CRAFT... as our solar system is being moved. it flashes red white and blue most of the time but not always. Stars to NOT flash lights... easy way to tell.

And you are in error on blue stars.. many of them are eternal.

The speed of light We used is computer in earth math and since we don't fly space.. our scientists don't have a clue. It is a reasonable number of OUR SOLAR system which is where the speed of light we use here comes from.. based on our sun etc.

I personally do not believe that could be possible, even with technology beyond our current understanding. Although, I do believe it is possible, in theory, for a craft or vehicle to move from point A to point B faster than the speed of light, however, not by travelling the actual distance from point A to point B. Rather by bending space time so the apparent distance was shorter.

It's been suggested that the 1054 event was memorialized at Chimney Rock, CO. IMO it could be an earlier event due to the actual age of these type of constructions - like Chaco Canyon and Mesa Verde.

Chimney Rock like all the 'pueblo' constructions have been misunderstood. For instance, Chaco Canyon, probably the most studied and visited is in ruins BUT these ruins were intentional. They create visual interpretations. Archaeologists have long said the kiva's had ceilings/roofs...but none do today. They were intentionally built w/o ceiling/roofings to allow sunlight to create shadow. The kivas at Pueblo Bonito are built with varying wall thickness and heights to show us the lunar phases and 2 of them reveal solar and lunar eclipse.
