Regarding the use of silver, I wonder if this is one of the reasons the price shot up last week?

I have to purchase some chemicals for my business with silver in them. Pricey stuff.

A bit of change in supply/demand could account for a big price increase.

Actually the storm is losing power, thankfully! Downgraded to tropical storm...

I would have posted earlier but husband decided to “celebrate” while I was in the shower and gave himself some cognac that did not agree with him. So I was busy there for awhile flushing the tube...he’s okay...wanted me to watch “From Here to Eternity” with him on PBS...

So I took some clips and made a minute video from today...Bastetcat sunning herself; at the stoplight at MilitaryTrail and Okeechobee Blvd as a band was coming towards us from the east—I decided to film it as we were at the light for HB...you can see the Hustler store and the billboard for Spearmint Rhino that is kind of behind the Hustler store; also FYI this intersection is #1 in PBC and I think in top 5 in the state for accidents due to red light runners and pedestrians crossing when they shouldn’t.. this was about 4:10 this afternoon and we were winding up our “errands” and a big old frog was trying to come in my patio door until I came up with camera...I filmed him anyway to show how much rain we were getting...

So hopefully this storm will continue to self-destruct....
This is a “cry wolf” storm that will cause people to let their guard down for the next one...we were ready, and I am grateful it hasn’t been so bad...

BTW, horseradish sauce added to Cole slaw is yummy, just saying...

I heard on local news 150 people went to local schools opened as shelters...curious to see if anyone was positive or gets sick because of going to the shelter...

The more I think about, the more this plan makes sense.

From my experience, a man doesn't really master his trade until he turns 50, so we should protect the people with the highest skills. Above 70, well, diminishing mental and physical strengths take their toll.

Protecting the people that can jumpstart the country after this is all over is a good idea.

Also, the over 50 crowd is generally not going to riot if quarantined.

Fantastic,in my workgroup of ten,only two would be at work then, as everyone is over 50.

50? They are going to lose a shit ton of experienced health care workers. Sure, the younger workers right out of school are bodies to fill positions, but the knowledge base is not there unitl you've been a nurse for at least 5-10 years. I mean, critical thinking staying two steps ahead of the illness type experience/knowledge.

This will be interesting. More jobs for the yougins.... will quickly show how important that braintrust is.

What are they going to do about doctors? Nurses?
