I am, on the other hand, willing to put in the work to insure that I can provide for my family in the face of unexpected events. It's called self-reliance and I enjoy being self-reliant, have since I was a very young child.

Personally speaking I really resent people who post generalizations. It's at the heart of "divide and conquer" philosophies. If I can make you "different", portray you in a way that's less than optimal in my world view you become less a human and more of an object. An object of pity, an object of aggression, etc.

Isn't that a tribute to her values, her moral compass? That she would postpone her potential relationship with you until things became more clear relative to the impact of the virus?

My thought, when reading what you posted, what that she really didn't say "no" to you, what she said was "not right now, unfortunately."

It's like you were making a long trip to visit someone or some place that was important to you and your car broke down.

You'd have to wait, to get it repaired before resuming your journey. And while the delay might be aggravating it doesn't mean you won't get to your ultimate destination; you just won't get there as soon as you'd hoped.

Perhaps the same analogy applies. You're not with her as soon as you'd like but that doesn't mean you won't get there in due time.

If you were to give a short term prediction, we could then have a sense of accuracy with your equations.
