You know, I'm happiest when I'm needed or really when I feel like I'm needed. I grew up in part with a grandmother who loved me so deeply that I now she'd have laid her life down for me without hesitation.

She enveloped me in a cocoon of safety, unconditional love and did everything for me no matter how tired she was. When she passed away at 94 my world shattered in many ways and it's taken many years to come to some terms with her no longer existing except in memories and photographs.

Having been a single mom in a country without a support system was difficult at best but I have tried to, and continue to do my best to give that love to my now adult kids, grandkids and what family is left in Europe.

I too don't feel sorry for myself just sad that there's experiences that we just can't have now for the little ones but my hope is that it's really just a delay, not a complete loss.
My prayer is we all make it through this with health intact
and can enjoy outings and social interactions again with gusto and without fear.

I hope the day comes that we all can exhale deeply and declare that china asshole virus is done with.

Oh definitely a scope, I'm horrible with iron sights. 24x Zoom by 50mm on the 308 and 14x by 50mm on the 5.56.

Don't remember the brand on the 308, got a Nikon on the 5.56

Yeah, I'm a scope gremlin myself. I'm turning 70 in a month and the eyes aren't what they used to be.

Next time you're in the market, check out Shepherd scopes.

I use one on my '06 for deer and mule deer. Great for longer ranges.

What a beautiful post. Today is my grandmother's birthday. She was the best grandmother a girl could ever have. She was fun, and funny, and incredibly talented. She made me laugh all the time. She was never once mean to me. God bless grandmothers. :)
