unfortunately these hospitalization numbers dont warrant the measures taken. lots of people lost everything because of the lockdown. for every hospitalized there are 1000 people who got into existential crisis.

Zero. Just some fraud scientist in France who was eviscerated by multiple outlets for his fraud and unethical (had a 10 year old patient) practices. I read his reports, both of them. The doctor in NY was just full of shit period. He didnt treat 699 patients (was 900 at first) then it became 300; then he he disnt actually give them HCL at all, or maybe he did, or maybe not as he doesnt even know. The community he lives in has called him out and ostracized him. He didnt even test most of them for the virus. Was a total quack job.

And you are totally discounting the Lazarus effect. It is a real phenomenon seen in all pandemics. The human body and mind is incredible when forced with life and death.

There are some additional factors to consider-- of most importance-- almost all larger/major hospitals have closed portioins or reorganized parts of the system to handle additional beds beyond the numbers originally used in IMHE. This is ongoing as we speak. The major hospital my wife works at (and she has had COV-19 patients)-- they have 2 (almost 3) entire floors empty for overflow COV-19 patients. Before that they were only capable to handle 40. They have almost 70 now. Which means per IMHE projection-- that hospital is already overwhelmed but they are not because of their own changes not captured in the model. This is what is not modeled and quite frankly cant. Its all hands on deck to prevent it from happening and should be thankful hospitals made these changes instead of sitting around waiting to be overwhelmed.
