i went out today.ppl with full PPE< goggles,gloves, masks> us+0 , ppl with masks 1/20. 1 person had gloves as well. stores not limiting customers to enter stores. we are several hours from major city. 1 and half from areas with over 100 cases. locaL county has 40+,east and west county 80+,south have just went double digits.

masks- issues ppl pull these down when driving. so they are breathing air that is infected. tried to explain it to 1 lady,who didn't want to bother listening. others take them off and then reach for their cell phones. now where do they put that later? near their face. some ppl had 1 with mask and other without in same car.

lady with gloves. pulled mask down to light cig and left gloves on. stands near front of store waiting for someone to pick her up. fail fail fail

not saying we are doing everything 100% right. but we are trying and getting better at it. will outlive most everyone else. actually went this week to avoid the rush 2wks from now. that fails anyhow. ppl here are acting normal and shopping normal.road traffic is lower but not at the stores.not enuf are locked down to have an affect.

A close friend of my wife just texted her to let her know that her husband has been rushed to the hospital and diagnosed with blood clots in his lungs. He has a medical history a mile long (s/p kidney transplant, obesity, hypertension, etc). Most of his issues are due to his own lifestyle choices, but a hospital is not a good place to be right now. I have a feeling, he will likely end up with COVID. The wife was like, "Do I go be with her at the hospital?" and I was like "oh hell fuck no." She knew the right answer. She just wanted to hear me say it.

my prediction based on what i hear is the govern will try to ease restrcitions in US bout Memorial wkend. this is preliminary off the top of my head.

i do not see how it can work.the nation has done lock downs over time.not all areas are at the same point. nor are they all infected at the same level. NYC and Ca and others are much higher than rural areas or even small cities.

could we ease them in NYC PHILLY but expand it for the rest of PA and NYC? at the rates i see, here will need to be locked down tight by Memorial. otherwise we run risk of overwhelming the local hospitals. again i need to do more figuring.
