The systemic risk isn’t about immediate Covid deaths, it’s about:
- health services remaining available
- businesses remaining open
- food supplies remaining available
- supply chain functioning
- long term health consequences

As for deaths, both Covid and non-Covid deaths will increase if health services become constrained, both now and those in the future. The backlog of elective surgeries is already large and continues to increase.

Additionally, as the spread increases there will be more Covid deaths just based on basic math in terms of percentages.

If you’re only focused in deaths, then you likely won’t find much interesting to you in this thread.

But let's assume that you build a biological weapon and at the same time you don't make the antidote (absurd), it would still be an extremely unsuccessful biological weapon: mortality rate significantly lower than the MERS or Ebola and having said that, what would be the ratio of a biological weapon that rages forever therefore also in the future of those who use it?

If we talk about experiments for vaccines or in any case for unknown future uses, escaped from Whuan's laboratory probably yes, but also in this case why create a virus that never goes out?
