So some very solid info that I just got from my LEO friend down in Massachusetts... people here had posted a few days ago that they noticed a ton of power company trucks all over the place, both convoys and just sitting around in parking lots.
Apparently the deal with that is authorities are extremely worried that a normal power outage due to a tree going down or a car hitting a pole would cause mass panic, making people think shit just totally hit the fan because of CoV.
Because of this they are having the linemen pre-staged all over the place to respond immediately to any power outage and get it back on as soon as possible so people don't run downtown and start looting stores thinking society just collapsed.

Being the only lighted house in the middle of power outage induced mayhem makes you a big glowing target... We don't use our generators for lights. They run the well pump, sump pumps, refrigerator/freezers, and our Internet if it's working. We use oil lamps, candles, and LEDs for light for the most part. Still, hard to mute the sound of a running generator... And unless you have a 200 gallon propane tank, it won't last very long either. Unless it is natural gas and the gas supply doesn't go down with the power.
