So some very solid info that I just got from my LEO friend down in Massachusetts... people here had posted a few days ago that they noticed a ton of power company trucks all over the place, both convoys and just sitting around in parking lots.

Apparently the deal with that is authorities are extremely worried that a normal power outage due to a tree going down or a car hitting a pole would cause mass panic, making people think shit just totally hit the fan because of CoV.

Because of this they are having the linemen pre-staged all over the place to respond immediately to any power outage and get it back on as soon as possible so people don't run downtown and start looting stores thinking society just collapsed.

Fascinating.

However, no matter how many contingencies the authorities try to think through - there WILL be an event somewhere where people will think SHTF and this will be televised and cause a domino effect. Could be a power outage, could be an earthquake, could be a terrorist attack, could be a riot, could be an assassination attempt, could be an outbreak of a second disease, could be another massive stock meltdown, could be an invasion of one nation to another ....

The longer this goes on and people are locked up at home and isolated and stressed out and stores are not well stocked, and unemployment is rising, and deaths are going up - the spark is inevitable.

I don't want to sound pessimistic. I hope I am wrong but I have read way too many history books to think this is going to just end with a whimper.
