like any other day ,there were many threads on GLP.some complaining of the govern. some making predictions of what TPTB was going to do next. there would b several threads on a new sickness from CHINA.

in about a week, the watchers at GLP would log the intel of horrific unheard of affects from this virus. many of us were here back then. WUHAN closed down. no traffic in/out. roads literally blocked. as America slept, the lockdown spread across CHINA. by morning on the East Coast, millions of ppl would no longer b able to leave multiple towns in CHINA. before anyone could confirm the totals, more and more cities and regions would also lockdown. before many posters awakened to say OMG,the # of cities would continue to expand.within 24hours, over 100 million ppl would b locked down to their own houses and towns.an event unheard.

the virus was just starting mind u. in a few months, the lockdowns would cover the globe. nations would lock their own ppl down. videos would show ppl singing in ITALY from their windows as their neighbors died.shortages of goods would happen. TP would become more scarce than gold. meat would b hard to find.

the year will go down as the year everyone wanted to survive and get out of.adults would b told to wash their hands and cover their faces more than 5 yr olds. the normal pl would put on masks as the cops let criminals out of jail.a riot that would burn several cities would b a "protest" but a march of Americans would b seen as a WAR attack. the governments of the world would demand children skip school. the govern would actually pay u NOT to work. even the Vatican would tell ppl do not come and pray. DOOM had become too real for even GOD to help.

this was 2020 the year of the virus. unlike the 2 World Wars, u can not see the bombs. u can not hear the marching of the enemy. and it is everywhere. in the air,on your food, your friend or relative should b feared.workers are given 2 weeks vacation just for coughing.but they can not go to enjoy it. the FEMA camps that u feared are now your own house.

congratulations to the GLP watchers. they were armed with bleach, gloves, masks, and toilet paper. you survived.......

PHASE 5- News of the other outbreaks gets to the public.No longer is the disease isolated to 1 or 2 towns and the city. As 1 town begins to see deaths, other towns have infected patients arriving at their ER's. Now the medical personnel of the entire nation become concerned. The outbreak is beyond the control and containment of the CDC. WE HAVE A PANDEMIC spreading quickly thru the states.

At this point, nurses and doctors will start to quit their jobs.As word spreads, other hospital staff will quit. How many is hard to judge. Will hospitals escort those who quit out with security guards so they can not tell others? i believe it will b nurses and doctors 1st.they will not show up to work.this may be unknown to the lower class workers. It may take a few days for the news of all these ppp quitting to reach the kitchen staff. The closer to the quarantene zones, the more workers who will quit. in a period of a week,you may see a drop of 10-25% of all medical or hospital workers throughout the country. Close to the original ground zero of the epidemic and the now quarantened zones,you will see 50%.

Preppers will be bugging out.you may see some small towns try to self-isolate. they can set up roadblocks and keep strangers out. Fear and Panic begin to spread. Most ppl outside the cities have food for a few weeks in their homes.

As the panic spreads, services will be interupted. The CDC and govern's. will try to control this. Which will happen 1st?
Trucking of goods including food will slow, Workers will stop going to work including those in charge of the electricity,water,natural gas,etc.as the % of these workers increases services will shut down. The govern will impliment their COG plan. They will try to force ppl to work. How well will the ppl listen and follow orders?

The COG plans might work for major cities for a short time. The govern may be able to get some food trucked in by using the NG. there is not enough NG ppl to deal with the whole country. As deaths pile up and medical staff quits,the cities will begin to riot. As the govern loses control of the cities, these citizens will try to escape. Once the food stops flowing in then the ppl will flow out.

Good Morning from a very windy/rainy/sleety/snowy UK.

Clarification as somebody asked - thats 63 air corridors to close from UK from Monday.

Hospitals now sending sick patients to hotels with army helping them as there is no more room in wards.Now what's interesting about that is that they did a pilot of this in a very small area in Esex about two years ago but decided it wouldn't work.

We are apparently going into a harder lockdown very soon.


Here's what's been on my mind, yes its sad that lots of people can't work, but those of us that have worked all through the pandemic are becoming exhausted, what will we be rewarded with after its over?

In what way does a 55 year old with disabilities admitting she is exhausted by the extra hours she has been putting in since the start of this (unpaid) equate to her work being bad?

Who eats ice cream in a pandemic?
There's no way to heat it.

594 pounds per month. That's about $772.00. You can live on that? Must be really tough. Before the solar panels, my electric bill in the summer was about that per month!
