It is a problem of choice, but if parents make bad choices and have junk food at home, the kids will make the same choices that they see parents making, it’s not really a choice it’s mormalizing as a lifestyle. Seeing chubby 7 and 8 year olds is a tragic thing to see. Your childhood should be the best time of your life. Yet for these kids it’s a nightmare being bullied and having doctors and society telling you that you are not worthy.. yet the parents don’t care

I worry about the younger people that I see so overweight.
I'm pretty sure it's the low grade foods.

I once saw a documentary about how many Asians are thin in their own countries eating their traditional foods, like Japan.
When they come to America and they start eating our American junk diet they gain weight very very fast.

I/female, weighed 97 pounds until I was 27.
I remained thin as long as I remained single.
Once into a normal relationship, living together, married, ect where I was expected to feed and cook for 2 people on a tight budget, cheap foods were what we had.
My weight began to increase the more time I had to spend in the kitchen and around food.

When thin and single, i might have eaten one good healthy meal every other day or three but men want to eat dinner/meats/potatoes/gravies every day night almost.
When they do take you out they frown at buying a meal that you leave most on the plate but get far and they hate you.

I'm 99% sure any weight I have gained since the age of 27 has been males faults.

I ate like a bird, felt great, never bloated, never fat until men.

Seriously though, I did read something years back about age and slowing metabolism causes every normal person to gain and retain almost 5 pounds every year.

I'm 60+ now, not thin anymore, been married 40 years but still not over 200 pounds.

These poor heavy kids don't have a chance in hell to have a normal healthy life ahead of them.

I've lost 7 lbs but my body is killing me from being sedentary. My back and joints feel swollen. Retaining water.

You can decide what goes into your mouth if you want to. It is not up to him. My husband and I eat different things because he eats crap and I eat healthy. I refuse to eat the way he eats and vice versa. It used to bother him, but he got over it a long time ago. If you are happy where you are at that's great, but if you are unhappy, please don't let him control your nutrition.
