It's "a pint of bitter", not "bitters."

Bitters is some shit that gin drinkers add to their grog.

The US still largely thinks Dick Van Dyke in Mary Paaaaawpins is the epitome of Britishness.

Truth is I don't think anyone in this country was ever all his quips in one.

Can I recommend you yanks watch YouTube for Eastenders for East London stereotypes, Gavin and Stacey or The Only Way Is Essex to cover the middle ground of a large part of thr Country and clips of Ant and Dec or Coronation Street for up north.

That just about covers it.

Maybe last of the summer wine for the South West Coast.

Bitter beer is a well-hopped ale I suppose. Certainly not a lager. Bitter is brewed at ambient temperature with top fermentation, whereas lagers are cold brewed, with bottom fermentation.

That's my understanding, at least.

cheers

This is the sound of Britian on a Sunday night after you've had a roast dinner at 4pm. Youve had a bath, in fresh pj's drinking tea maybe eating a sandwich. It's 7pm. Time for this...

Pretty much spot on to how teenage life was in the UK where I live just outside London.

The Inbetweeners series or Friday Night Dinner is very apt for your typical Conservative/Republican type British family banter.

I’m English and particularly well travelled and I can offer you this:

In the U.K. you will meet mostly nice people and some twats.

Same as the rest of the world.

You tend to find what you are looking for.

Global rule of thumb - Nice/Twat ratio: 80/20

You get what you’re looking for, that ratio is exactly opposite if you’re a twat.

I forgot to mention. God bless The United States of America.
If I couldn’t be English, I’d choose to be American.

Much love cousins x
