25 pounds of rice and flour isn't three months worth of food.

You can't eat a bag of flour. Sure, you can make stuff with it but you need other ingredients to do so.

So you didn't get three months of food for $20... not when you add in the cost of the other ingredients/food you will need during that time.

Make hard tack with the flour. Easy and incredible shelf life. Harvest bugs from outside.

You are missing essential amino acids on that meagre food cache. Eventually it would make you ill. Make pita bread as it's easier. Buy some lentils, vitamins, and calcium.

If you had masa flour and lard, then you could make homemade tortillas.You could basically eat Mexican style pinto beans, rice, tortillas, salsa everyday and make it pretty inexpensively. You would collect wild greens to add to it or the occasional trapped squirrel.

Would of been better spent on beer.
